Re: Injuries

To get Ake even if it were on loan for the rest of the season would be great.

Re: Injuries

Ake is already eligible for a PL winners medal as he's played 5 games so far (which is the minimum). He's also played 3 CL games, the winner of the competition gets 40 medals to give out, so he'd be given one. We're still in the League cup and EL so the fact is potentially he can get more medals by going to us than by staying there!

Nagel - You of course are 100% right, either that or Moyes doesn't want him ;-)

As I said below, Ake is surely wanting to stay at Man City at the mid season point? End of season maybe but January? There’s too many medals they are in a very good position for…..

Re: Injuries

If we have no interest in Ake it can only be because the club don't want to spend the money he'd cost. A left footed CB who would improve on Ogbonna and can play left back when required is exactly what we need.

According to someone on a well known long running site, who has previously been ITK we have no interest in Ake

According to the Physioroom, Cresswell has a 75% chance of starting at the weekend. Johnson, Kouma, Fredericks and Ogbonna all with no return date.

Side, make you right re: Ake, seems an odd link to me given everything. Likely to be a very expensive transfer fee and contract for an overrated defender imho.
Getting in a decent centre back in January is going to be a right bastard of a task. Lets hope Alese and Baptiste turn in a good performance on Thursday and give Moyes a bit of confidence that one or both of them can be understudies for the time being because clubs are going to want to bend us over a barrel knowing we're desperate for back up. Burnley aren't likely to let Tarkowski go in January given their position either.
The only one of those we've so far been linked to I can maybe see happening is Nat Phillips from Liverpool, but I've not seen enough of him to know whether he'd be good enough or not. Either that or someone from the championship or abroad. Or perhaps Caleta-Car if he remains a target.

Ake has no reason to leave Man City mid season with them likely to add to their trophy tally.....

Ake is the one I would try for
Read that City could be up for a loan to buy obligation, with a caveat of having first dibs on Rice come the time
Perfect solution for me, lefty too whilst leaving funds in the bag for a striker or two
Fluidity being one thing but FFP another, we have £75m or there abouts over this and the summer window to play with as we stand

Wouldn't mind the lad Salisu at Soton if we are spending money.

Re: Injuries

I read somewhere ( may have been old soak Hughs site ) that no surgery required either. 8 weeks to get back to some form of training and probably 10 - 12 weeks ( 3 months ) before he gets out on the pitch. So March earliest we will see him available again. We will have to get a CB unless Baptiste or Alese are that highly rated and seen as ready which seems unlikely.
As mentioned, need to be ready to move first week to get someone in but when has that ever happened. To do that means paying over the odds and that is not the Sullivan way. He waits to the last day to get a few extra quid off once the selling or loaning club realises they have no other option.

Hopefully thats a realistic 6-8 weeks and not a legacy west ham medical update where week = months in the real world.

summer, is expected to be out for six to 12 weeks. His absence will increase the need for Moyes to sign a centre-back in January. Craig Dawson and Issa Diop are the only fit centre-backs in West Hams squad. A West Ham statement said: West Ham United can confirm that Kurt Zouma sustained a hamstring tendon injury during Saturdays Premier League victory against Chelsea. A scan on Monday revealed the damage and the 27-year-old French international defender has already started his recovery programme at Rush Green under the supervision of the medical team.
West Ham are without the left-back Ben Johnson for up to a month with hamstring injury, although Aaron Cresswell is close to returning from a back injury.

Hamstring tendons can be 6-8 weeks as Don and Norf reported.
Depends on how severe.
Obviously it will be worked on every day and Zouma will get the best rehab but it’s getting it repaired, getting it strong and getting fitness up enough to get back to match pace. I reckon early Feb H to Watford is his come back game target. We got Man U away on the 22nd Jan but an international break after that. I reckon the extra 2 weeks will be needed for extra recovery, so he don’t come in and agitate it again.
Miss about 12 games.
